Welcome to the parish community at St Michael's Cathedral.

As we work together to arrange your child’s baptism, it would be of great assistance if you fill out and submit the form below.

We provide Baptism preparation by personal appointment. Sometimes the baptism of a child can be the occasion for pastoral discussions around marriage and other sacramental needs, so we encourage you to use the occasion for your spiritual benefit.

One parent needs to be a Catholic.
One godparent needs to be a Catholic.
Only two godparents shall be listed on the registry and the certificate.

To help us maintain our historic Cathedral, there is a customary offering or donation. We respectfully ask for a minimum donation of $75, but please let us know if this is an issue for you. We will provide you with a beautiful Baptismal Candle, the lasting sign of the spiritual gift of faith, which “is to be kept burning brightly” (Ceremony of Baptism). Beautiful, personalised Baptismal Candles may also be ordered online through an Albury based business at sacredcandles.com.au.
